mitraHelp centerMaking phone calls
Tell Mitra who to call, what to ask, and what a good outcome looks like.
Before your first call
Complete calling setup in the Mitra app. Open Settings → Connectors → Phone to review your phone connection and Making calls preference.
For a useful first test, choose someone who expects your call and give Mitra a clear, simple goal.
Ask Mitra to call
Tell your assistant who to call and what to accomplish. Include a phone number if the person or business isn’t already identifiable, and spell out any constraints.
Read any follow-up question or approval card. Correct the details before proceeding if they aren’t what you intended.
Choose when to approve
| Making calls | What happens |
|---|---|
| Always | Mitra can place the call when you ask. |
| Ask each time | A Call button appears in Mitra. The call waits for your tap. |
| Never | Mitra won’t place outgoing calls. |
Follow up on a call
Check the call in Mitra’s call history, or ask your assistant how it went. Summaries and transcripts are available when the call has produced them.
For a call started through MCP, the AI app can check the existing request or call ID. Closing the external chat does not cancel the call. Check its status before sending the same request again.
